Two Two for the price of one email

hejsan alla! (hi everybody!)

how are things down in the mesa boiler? seriously it's not even june yet and it's in the 100s?! sweden is sounding more and more divine! before i forget, i'll let you know our TRAVEL PLANS!!!!! we got them last thursday (and thursday is a whole other story...) and we were so excited! anyway, we leave the mtc about 8:30 to go to the airport. our flight leaves at 11:25 and then we have a stopover in atlanta. i'll prolly call from salt lake at about 10:30 (9:30 in mesa) and talk for a few minutes before we go. i think we get to atlanta at about 2:00 mesa time and we have a 3 hour layover so how about i call at about 3:30 mesa time (maybe...i forgot to bring my plans with me so i'll have to double check that...). i want to call and talk to the family so charge those phones! anyway, about thursday: we got to leave the mtc for while! sister wood had a thing with her eye that the doctor at the health clinic here wanted a second opinion on so we got a pass to go to the optometrist in orem. it was righ across from tahitian noni so waved to all my family who work in that area and had a littl tear when we passed my aunt toni's neighborhood. we also saw the byu mens track team and had to avert our eyes. that was awkward. and so much fun! the outside world is weird. anyhoo, we also got haircuts that day and i asked the girl to thin mine out, thinking it would cut down on blowdrying time...don't ever do that here. i felt like i was going bald. i kept pulling out chunks of hair for like and hour. then we got our flight plans and thursday was just the best day. on sunday, i got to sing in mission conference. it was so scary because the whole mtc was there! sister wood played for me and it went really well. i'm grateful that we both have that in common so that we can share our music with each other. after the meeting we were sitting in our little chairs and this branch president came up to thank me for the number ( i sang be still my soul, of course!) and he LEANED DOWN AND HUGGED ME!!! i was so freaked out i just kinda sat there and tried not to push the man that was hugging me away. we were both really weirded out. after mission conference we had our testimony meeting and i was playing the prelude music and president and sister smith (the mtc president and his wife) walked into our meeting. so yeah...the mission president came to our sacrament meeting. that was cool. we had a fantastic devotional last night with Elder Ballard! it was so cool. he talked about how we all need to have a sincere desire to do this work. it was inspiring and just amazing to hear yet another apostle. not many missionaries even get to hear one let alone 3. we are very blessed. i can't believe that i leave for sweden on monday. i actually am very scared, but i know that i need to do this and that my Father in Heaven will be with me all the way. oh one more story. we had a couple of meetings on monday night and one of them was on health and safety. it was given by the 85 year old doctor (virgil parker was his name) and he literally had a story for every single subject. no joke, the forst one he told was about diarrhea and his irritable bowel. then he goes "who here has had diarrhea?!" i didn't take very good notes in that meeting, but i didn't need to. the memory will be forever burned into my brain. the most awkward part was that aferward he wanted to talk to the sisters. whee. anyhoo, that has been my week. it sure was an adventure! i think that's a good way to go. i love you all and i'm excited to talk to you next week. keep smioling and always pray!

love,
sister coleman
