MTC irons=Evil

Dear Family,

Sorry it's taken me so long to email today! we've had a busy day. not much has happened this week. swedish is insane! it's really hard, but it's way fun and i love it. we taugh each other in swedish yesterday and it was..interesting. i know a lot of words i just don't know where to put them. sarah! good luck on skills testing this weekend! i can't believe you're doing 3 in one day! you crazy girl. but if anyone can handle that it's the you! you're like the energizer lithium bunny! joe and dad i'm glad you're baseball game went well. it sound like you've got an awesome team this year. and john, i miss you and i want to hear you play the piano. mom, i'm so proud of you for picking out 2 outfits! i want pictures. also, i couldn't open up all of the pictures that you sent me and i for sure couldn't print them...something weird happened when i tried. i was able to open up the picture of my sweet brother so thank you for that. dad i have to tell you that every time i meet a missionary going to japan i get really excited. i met a sister going to nagoya yesterday. there are like 20 of them here right now. i also heard that after our group of swedish missionaries leaves, there are 12 more coming in. we're taking sweden by storm! oh about the title of this email...i went to iron my cute pink button up shirt and first of all, the irons here are crap to begin with. second of all, sisters don't know how to clean up thei messes. someone had burned their clothes or something and not cleaned the nasty black crap off of the iron so when i tried to iron my shirt (the operative word being "tried") i got black goop all over it that wouldn't come off. so i found some shout and just scrubbed for a while. there's still some on there after i washed it, but i think it'll be ok. i'm so mad though! some people! dad i sent you a copy of my call letter in the mail so it should get there pretty soon. sorry i didn't send it last week. i'm still trying to figure out the email thing and i didn't read your emails until after i'd sent my letters...yeah...it's in the mail. does anyone know how alysha did at nationals? i really want to know. and thanks for keeping me updated with american idol. what's happeneing on the office? not that it really matters (or as the swedes say "det spelar ingen roll...") but i'm curious...i wish i had more to tell you. the gospel is true. i'm learning so much here and i can't wait to share it. oh mom something kinda funny. the day you sent me hebrews 10:35-37 to read, we had just gone over that in class! i guess Heavenly Father really wanted me to read it. and sarah, i had just been listening to "he lives in you" when i got your letter! insane! someone over there is really in tune with the spirit. oh also, sister wood and i both got new callings in our branch. she's our new coordinating sister and i'm the new music coordinator (surprise!). i'm really excited. we have a great branch presidency and i'm excited to get to work with them. i hope everyone's doing well. dad, thanks for sending me jake's email from this week. also, could you put a few dollars in my account? i think i left some cash there. that would be fantastic. and mom, i'm so sorry to ask for one more thing, but everyone in my district is getting sick and one of my roommates came down with the flu. could you maybe send us a box of emergency? that would befabulous. tell grandma and grandpa chapman and grandma coleman i said hello. i miss you all so, so much. thanks for all of your love and support and prayers. i love you!

Love,
sister coleman

p.s. it's been snowing for like 2 days! i'm freezing my cheeky bum off! good conditioning for sweden i guess. also, random side note...mom, remember how i said my nylons wouldn't last very long? well a few days ago, i put a pair on and they already had a run in them. so the next pair i put on got snagged on my fingernail and just shredded. then yesterday, i put a pair on and the same thing happened! i think i have a nylon handicapp. i'm off to the temple! love you!

Hey Colleen-
I hope you check her comments...but just a note about the nylons...from one who has been there.

Save the nylons for church and wear tights the rest of the time. Not the most fashionable (but you can find them nude) but much more cost effective. I used sueded mircrofiber and those puuies lasted a long time and washed great. Out in the field she'll have people's kids and animals fighting against the forces of her nylons as well.

Love,

Susan
